Taber Library's upcoming summer programs
The Taber Library is offering several summer-themed, upcoming events in July and August.
Movie and Conversation
Bring a lunch or a snack, and join the Taber Library on Mondays, July 10, 17, 24, and 31 at 1 p.m. for a documentary showing and discussion.
Book Walks
While the weather is nice, join the Taber Library on Tuesday afternoons, July 18 through August 15, at 12:30 p.m. for a walk around Marion's Village to discuss what books you like and what you're currently reading.
Books at the Beach
If you find yourself at Silvershell Beach this summer without something to read, don't fear - the Library is coming to you! Our traveling library will be at the beach on Thursdays between 2 - 3 p.m. on July 6 through August 24 with books to check out and even some to purchase. This program is in partnership with the Marion Recreation Department.
Bridge Benefit Game
The Elizabeth Taber Library's Bridge Benefit Committee is inviting bridge enthusiasts to participate in a duplicate bridge game with Director Alan Hudson on Friday, August 4 at the Marion Music Hall.
The entry fee is $35. Space is limited. Reservations can be made by sending a check to the Elizabeth Taber Library. Doors will open at 1:30 p.m., and tournament play will begin at 2 p.m.
There will be light refreshments offered, tournament prizes and a selection of raffle prizes.
If you cannot attend the fundraiser, but would like to donate or purchase raffle tickets in advance, inquire at the library. All proceeds raised will be used to enhance the programs and services offered by the Elizabeth Taber Library. For more information, please call the Taber Library at 508-748-1252.
