Tabor to host Fall Dance Recital
Tabor Academy is hosting its Fall Dance Recital on Nov. 11 at 6:30 p.m at the Fireman Center for the Performing Arts. The students will perform five routines: a theater routine to “Mein Herr” from Cabaret, a contemporary acrobatic style routine to “Heroes” by David Bower, a tap routine to “Bust a Move” by Young MC, a hip hop breakdancing routine and a ballet routine.
Additionally, many students will perform solos and duets.
Tabor’s dance team is also partnering with a student from Salem State University and Turning Pointe, a studio currently competing in the youth American Grand Prix, a prestigious ballet and contemporary competition in Boston.
This is Tabor’s first dance show of the school year, coming after one of the school’s strongest years yet in competitive dance. The dance team received platinum awards at all three competitions they attended and won first place awards with hip hop, jazz and contemporary routines.
The recital is free and open to the public.
