MATTAPOISETT — The Mattapoisett Firefighters Association will host its Fifth Annual Chowder Competition on Sunday, Sept. 8 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall.
The event is designed for families, and offers kids and parents the chance to sample and vote for their favorite chowders from area restaurants and public safety teams.
The chowder tasting will also have kids’ activities, music, raffles, antique fire apparatus and other entertainments.
