Friday, Aug. 1
Marion Concert Band
Step across the pond on Friday, Aug. 1 as the Marion Concert Band performs a program of music from the British Isles.
The concert will feature several classic British Brass Band pieces, as well as music from artists such as Petula Clark, Gerry and the Pacemakers and the Beatles.
The concert will begin at 7 p.m. at the Robert Broomhead Bandstand at the Island Wharf and is free and open to the public.

Saturday, Aug. 2
Canoe trip
Join the Sippican Lands Trust in the Weweantic Canoe Trip on Saturday, Aug. 2 at 8 a.m. and go out with the tide.
The trip will launch from State Boat Launch on 195-E and participants must provide their own canoes. Basic paddling skills are also expected for this flat water trip, which is about two to four miles long, depending on the wind and weather.
Sunday, Aug. 3
Hike at the Bogs
Join the Buzzards Bay Coalition for a 2.3 mile hike at The Bogs. The hike begins at 1:30 p.m. from 141 Acushnet Road.
Wednesday, Aug. 6
Seaside adventures
Visit the Mattapoisett Rail Trail for an afternoon of coastal exploration. Participants will walk a 0.5-miles along the boardwalk to Shining Tides Beach to explore the shoreline and search for fiddler crabs, green crabs and other coastal critters.
This is a fun, hands-on adventure that will be perfect for nature lovers of all ages. This event is free and begins at 7 Depot Street.
