After a Flag Day celebration, the third graders from Center School went inside to the cafeteria and held their “Great American Breakfast” for senior citizens from Mattapoisett.

A light breakfast was served for senior citizens while the third grade class changed into costumes honoring famous historical Massachusetts residents. Students’ costumes included the likes of Susan B. Anthony, Dr. Seuss, Clara Barton, Barbara Walters, Paul Revere, Nancy Kerrigan, Alesander Graham Bell, John F. Kennedy, Larry Bird and Jim Craig.

Before introducing their characters to the seniors at the breakfast, the students performed a few songs. After singing “My Country Tis of Thee” and “The Star-Spangled Banner,” the students showcased a few of their songs from their upcoming musical based on Disney movies and musicals. From that, they sang and danced to “Mickey Mouse Mashup” from “The Mickey Mouse Club,” “You Can Fly” from “Peter Pan,” and “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” from “Mary Poppins.”
