Tour de Crème to ride again
Mar 1, 2017
Mattapoisett Selectmen approved the second annual Tour de Crème on Tuesday night.
The ice cream-themed bike ride and party will feature four routes from 11 to 50 miles with stops at local ice cream shops along the way. All routes end at the Monroe Preserve, located next to Town Wharf, and owned by the Mattapoisett Land Trust.
The trust, along with the Friends of the Bike Path, sponsor the event, with proceeds split between the two organizations.
Land Trust President Mike Huguenin said this year more riders will be accepted and the party at the end of the rides will be larger.
“We had no problems last year, and we look forward to doing it again next year,” he said.
