Tri-Town Against Racism to hold Black History Month art contest

The anti-racist group Tri-Town Against Racism will hold an art competition this month to celebrate Black History Month. 

Applicants are encouraged to chose any form of creative expression they see fit, as long as it fits the theme of “Beyond Martin and Rosa.” 

Written word entries should be no longer than 1,000 words, and video entries should be no longer than five minutes. 

The group is accepting submissions through Feb. 21 at midnight. Submissions may be sent to tritownagainstracism@gmail.com

Judging will be done by the leadership team at Tri-Town Against Racism and three community members selected by the group. 

Winners will be announced on Feb. 28 on Tri-Town Against Racisms Facebook page at 4:00 p.m.

First place will receive $200, second place will receive, $100 and third place will receive $50.
