Tri-Town picks new Veterans Agent

Apr 21, 2021

The Tri-Town Veterans Council has chosen Christopher Gerrior of Rochester as its new Veterans Agent for Marion, Mattapoisett and Rochester.

Gerrior is a retired U.S. Naval officer, and is replacing Barry Denham, who is retiring from his position as Veterans Agent.

Under Denham, Veterans Council Chairman Ray Andrews said in an April 18 press release, the council expanded from serving two towns to serving the entire Tri-Town.

“Barry has left a well-organized veterans service operation for Chris Gerrior to take over the helm,” Andrews said.

Andrews lauded Gerrior’s experience in the Navy, which he said would help Gerrior in his new position.

“Mr. Gerrior had a highly decorated 24-year carrier in the Navy before retiring,” Andrews said. “He brings to the Tri-Town Veterans Counsel a depth of knowledge and experience of working with veterans in several areas while in service.”
