Two transported to hospital in Marion accident

MARION — A driver and passenger were transported to the hospital after swerving to miss a deer and hitting a pole at 6:09 a.m. on Aug. 12.
The car was traveling down Point Road near Rogers Road when the incident happened. The passenger was injured. The Marion Fire Department initially requested that Wareham Emergency Medical Services respond as well, but cancelled the request and brought the driver and passenger to the hospital in one ambulance.
Murphy’s towed the car after the incident. The pole sustained minor damage.
