Upcoming events at Plumb Library
ROCHESTER — Weekly scrambled word. Plumb Library is hosting a weekly word scramble on Mondays from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Participants can unscramble a word and receive a small prize from a treasure chest.
Weekly Seek and find. Each week in September, librarians are hiding a toy school bus within Plumb Library on Mondays from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Participants who find the toy are awarded a small prize from a treasure chest.
Knitting group. Knitters and crocheters of all skill levels are welcome to join the Plumb Library Knitting Group each Monday at 6:30 p.m. where chocolate will also be served.
Author talk. Author Debi Graham-Leard will speak at Plumb Library about her experiences writing mystery books on Tuesday, Sept. 16 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., as a part of the Council on Aging Book Group.
Graham-Leard is the author of six books, including “The Uninvited Guest” and “Where There’s Smoke, There’s Trouble.”
Writers group. Writers will gather at Plumb Library on Thursday, Sept. 18 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. to discuss the logistics of writing.
Participants can expect conversation to revolve around questions about prompts, debut novels, missing scenes, poetry and more.
Seasonally-themed refreshments will also be served at the event.
