MATTAPOISETT — The Mattapoisett Republican Town Committee will host a meeting on Thursday, July 17 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Niemad Facility, located at 57 Fairhaven Road.

The committee will discuss opposition to expanding the Select Board from three to five members. The article to expand was approved by voters at Town Meeting in May.

Topics will include creating a petition to overturn the vote at a special Town Meeting, outreach plans and volunteer opportunities.

Light snacks and a cash bar will be available.
