Vera E. (Zayka) Vivian, 79, of Lisle, Illinois and Marion, died Thursday, March 31 at her home. She was born Nov. 25, 1936 in Hudson and was the beloved wife of the late John “Jack” Vivian.

She was the loving mother of Nancy Ann (Pete) Nesti, Karen Lynn (James) Brownlee and Stephen John (Tia) Vivian. Cherished grandmother of Rachel Nesti, Jack and Katie Brownlee, Alaina, Lyla and Tessa Vivian. Dear sister of Mary Ferguson, Helen Giambro, Fanny McIntyre, Peter, Metrophane, Nicholas, Raymond, Grisha, Paul and John Zayka. Devoted aunt and friend of many.

Vera will be remembered for her cooking and gardening, but most of all for her kindness and friendship. She lived her motto: “Don't worry be happy.”

Her funeral will be from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Rt. 28), Wareham on Saturday, Apr. 9 at 8:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Rita’s Church, 113 Front St., Marion at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Agawam Cemetery, Wareham. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
