To the Editor:

As for your article in the paper about old people portrayed by kids, I find nothing cute or funny about it, rather it's degrading. There are people here at Mattapoisett Housing [Authority] that have canes but are in better shape than your kids in class.

You talk about bullying yet you teach the kids to make fun of old people...nice teaching... I am 81 and I can run circles around any teacher at your school, plus we have a lady here who is 99 with a cane who walks everyday, more than most kids do in a week. And as for the hairdo, I know of no one with curlers, and their hair looks better than some teachers. Your view of old people is sick and not funny or cute.
