Vincent Barboza, 80
Vincent Barboza, 80, of Wareham died Dec. 25 in Tobey Hospital, Wareham. He was the husband of Jeanette (Barros) Barboza and the son of the late Theodore and Loretta (Ladouceur) Barboza.
Mr. Barboza was born in Wareham and lived there for many years before moving to Rochester in 1962.
He was the owner of V-Barb Trucking, and a previous partner of Barboza Bros.
He had also done some work for Tom Barboza Construction, Tilcon and J. Barboza & Sons.
Survivors include his widow, Jeanette (Barros) Barboza; two sons, Vincent J. Barboza of Wareham and Albert Barboza of Taunton; a daughter, Loretta A. Pina of Pembroke; a stepson, John G. Andrade, III of New Bedford; three stepdaughters, Sandra Andrade-Penn of New Bedford, Sheila Holmes of Marietta, Georgia and Joaquina “Betty” Andrade of Reno, Nevada; two brothers, Thomas H. Barboza and his wife Shirley and Joseph Barboza and his wife Lorraine both of West Wareham; two sisters in-law, Evelyn Barboza and Clara Barboza both of Wareham; many loving grandchildren, nephews and nieces. He was the stepfather of the late Priscilla Grace and Julio Andrade and the brother of the late William Barboza, Albert Barboza, Lawrence Barboza and Christine Tobey and brother in-law of the late Alcott Tobey.
His funeral was Dec. 30 from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, Wareham, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, Wareham. Burial followed in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
