Walk off the Thanksgiving turkey with the Sippican Lands Trust

Nov 18, 2018

MARION — After a big Thanksgiving meal, many Marion residents may feel weighed down by turkey, greens, and pie. The best way to do away with that feeling is to take a walk and can on the Sunday after the holiday with the Sippican Lands Trust.

On Nov. 25, the group will hold its annual Post-Thanksgiving Dog Walk at 1 p.m. at its White Eagle property.

All dogs and owners are welcome, but dogs must be leashed and under control at all times.

The property is located off of Route 6 in Marion. To arrive at the kiosk, turn onto Parlowtown Road and follow it until a cul-de-sac. There will be a dirt road on the left, and drivers should follow it until they reach an abandoned cranberry bog. Parking will be directly past the bog.

The walk is free and their will be no registration costs.
