MATTAPOISETT — The library now has eight saltwater and freshwater fishing poles available for checkout.

Lifelong fisherman David Kaplan donated new poles to the library, including children’s fishing poles.  Kaplan also prepared a handout, which includes information about where to fish in Mattapoisett and in nearby waters, who needs a fishing license, and more. 

Other objects in the Library of Things include baseballs and baseball mitts, a Bocce set, a croquet set, a metal detector, science backpacks, an Instant Pot, sewing machine, podcasting kit, and a meditation kit, among others.
