Wareham man injured in Rochester motorcycle accident

A Wareham man was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on Braley Hill Road in Rochester Saturday evening.

Rochester Police Chief Paul Magee said Rochester EMS transported 20-year-old Stephen O’Brien to Rhode Island Hospital on Saturday, Aug. 15.

Magee said O’Brien lost control of his 2003 Honda motorcycle and struck a tree.

There is no more information available on O’Brien’s condition.

The accident occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m.

Mageee said the area is a popular route for motorcyclists as it winds through the Quittacas water reservoir.

The cause of Saturday's crash is still under investigation by the Rochester Police Department. No charges or citations have been issued so far.
