MARION — A water main broke on the morning of Tuesday, July 6, on route 6 between Point Road and Front Street, forcing Marion Water Division to cut off service to that portion of the road and the side streets branching from it until repairs can be made.

Emergency repairs are reportedly scheduled to begin Tuesday morning.

The water division warns that residents of the area may notice some discoloration in the water once it is turned back on, but say that it should dissipate if the tap is left to run for a few minutes.
