Wildcats, Orangemen, Bulls win in Mattapoisett Recreation championship

Three teams finished on top in this year's Mattapoisett Recreation basketball championship on Wednesday night.
In the third and fourth grade league, Coach Rapoza's Kentucky Wildcats beat out the Georgia Bulldogs 38-8.
Coaches Stark and Coucci's Syracuse Orangemen took home the fifth and sixth grade title with an 18-16 win against Coach Morrell's Tar Heels.
The junior high league finished off the night with an exciting win from Coach Pedro's Chicago Bulls. Luke Brogioli made two free throws in the last 1.5 seconds of the game to win the championship 29-28 against the Spurs.
In a statement from Mattapoisett Recreation, leadership thanked all players, coaches, parents, referees and custodial staff for the successful season.
