MARION — While Mattapoisett held its annual costume competition on Halloween, a similar contest was held throughout October in Marion.
Except this one was for furry friends.
The Marion Animal Hospital held a photo contest for pets in costumes. Winners were revealed after Halloween. Contestants had to be patients at the Marion Animal Hospital.
The first place winner for dogs was Niko, who dressed as an Oompa Loompa from “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.”
The dog runner-up was Frank, who dressed as Forrest Gump from the eponymous film.
The first place winner for cats was Zoe, who wore a “Batcat” costume.
