MARION — The Sippican Woman’s Club is planning to hold the oar and paddle auction that was cancelled by covid last year this summer.

According to a press release, the woman’s club is looking to host the event in a “safe environment” in August.

The event, in which local artists paint oars and paddles to be auctioned off to benefit the club’s scholarship fund.

Those who received paddles last year that were never auctioned off are encouraged by the woman’s club to send them in for auction this year.

In addition, those who would like to be given a paddle to decorate for auction can do so by emailing SWC.Marion@gmail.com.
