Women’s Club welcomes witches and more on Halloween

Oct 31, 2019

ROCHESTER — A witch, Bob Marley and a unicorn walk into the Rochester Women’s Club...

And get candy, which Women’s club members handed out for two hours on Halloween night.

“I’m glad we didn’t postpone,” Marsha Hartley said, as there had been talk of postponing trick or treating in other towns due to forecasts for wind and rain.

“The weather was better than I thought,” added Susan Henshaw.

Georgia Hadley taught Hartley and Henshaw how to say Happy Halloween in sign language when she came in dressed as a unicorn.

The Rochester Women’s club has had a successful year, more than doubling its membership from four to ten members.

The group raises money for scholarships with Thanksgiving pie events and Christmas wreathes. The next meeting will be Oct. 6 at 6 p.m.
