Workin' at the car wash

Sep 16, 2017

A group of sixth graders climbed into the bed of a pickup truck. Armed with sponges, hoses and high energy, they scrubbed and scrubbed.

The class hosted their annual car wash and bake sale on Saturday morning to raise money for the Mountain Classroom field trip. The students will go to New Hampshire for three days and spend their time hiking and learning about nature in the White Mountains.

Parents donated baked goods and the community came out for a good cause.

"The police and fire departments came for car washes," Kristen Saint Don of the class' parent group said. "People have been very generous. It's tradition, they do it every year."
