'Works on Paper and In Metal' exhibit opens April 24

The Marion Art Center’s next exhibition “Works on Paper and In Metal” begins with an opening reception to honor artists Brenda Wrigley Scott and James Reynolds on Friday, April 24 at the Marion Art Center from 6 to 8 p.m. The show will run until May 30.

Scott, who has a degree in ceramics and painting, takes inspiration from nature for her paintings of birds on paper.

Reynolds, a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design and a self-employed artist and designer will present works in metal made entirely freehand without the use of molds, stamps or dies and using copper, tinplated steel or stainless steel.

The Marion Art Center is located at 80 Pleasant St. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.
