MARION — The Beverly Yacht Club in Marion will soon welcome young sailors from the region to the Beverly Junior Regatta on Tuesday, Aug. 13 and Wednesday, Aug. 14.

The regatta in 2024 will be the 61st running of the event, with kids competing in single-handed Optimist and double-handed 420 sailing dinghies.

Reintroduced for this year will also be a fleet of Techno 293 windsurfers, with many sailors competing from New Bedford Community Sailing. 

The regatta is being staged as part of the US Junior Olympic Sailing Festival, and racing will take place in Sippican Harbor, south of Marion.
