Bubbleologist gives kids soapy lesson
Bubble expert Keith Johnson wowed kids and adults on Tuesday at the Mattapoisett Congregational Church with his larger than life creations – all made with just a little soap and water.
Sponsored by the Friends of the Mattapoisett Library, the program taught kids about bubble scientists in the past and how they could make their own bubbles using stuff already at home.
Johnson created bubble within bubbles, made a square bubble, and created floating bubbles made with helium.
"If you forget about everything else we talk about today, remember that everything that touches a bubble needs to be wet," said Johnson, who encased a toy dinosaur in one of his bubbles.
For the grand finale of his "Bubbleology" program, Johnson brought Molly Dupre forward.
Of her bubble debut, Molly said, "I'm not scared. I'm brave!"
Johnson then made a bubble around her and let Molly make her own gigantic bubble with a hula hoop. She also tried to convince Johnson to get in a bubble of her own making.
