MARION — Put on some dancing shoes and get ready to groove at the Marion Art Center’s dance classes for adults led by instructor Teah Keogh at a new partner location in the First Congregational Church Community Center.

Participants can choose between taking ballet and jazz or tap dancing classes.

Ballet and jazz fusion classes will take place from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday nights from May 6 to June 10.

The 45-minute classes teach the strength, flexibility and posture of ballet in addition to the upbeat rhythms and expressive style of jazz.

Tap dancing classes will take place on Tuesday evenings from 6:45 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., starting on May 6 to June 10.

This class is for adults who want to “add a little more happiness and a little less seriousness to their week.” Attendees will learn rhythm, balance and coordination while exploring the world of tap.

Dance class attendees can drop in for single class sessions or attend the full six-week program.

No experience is required to take these classes. Pricing and registration is available online at www.marionartcenter.org/classes.
