The Early Childhood Office at Old Hammondtown School will host winter playgroups.

The young toddler playgroup is open to children between the ages of 11 months through 3 years old. Children will take part in activities related to the season. Fun songs and finger plays will be taught. This eight week event will be held on Tuesday mornings from 9:30 to 11 a.m. from Jan. 5 through March 1.

The preschool playgroup is open to 3 and 4 year olds. They will explore socialization topics such as sharing, taking turns, cooperative play and more. Each class session includes music and movement, free play, games, educational activities, story time and snack. Children must be completely toilet trained to attend. This eight week event is held Friday mornings from 9 to 10:15 a.m. from Jan. 8 through March 11.

Both playgroups meet at the Old Hammondtown School and cost $35 per family for the eight week session. Registration is required. Contact the Early Childhood Office to register at 508-748-1863.
