Rochester Police warn residents of phone scam

The Rochester Police Department is warning residents about a phone scam going around. Residents have reported receiving phone calls from a company claiming to be legal support service. The company says they will be at the address within 48 hours to serve legal papers with a police officer.

One of the numbers that may appear on caller ID from this scam is 866-353-1944.

Victims are asked for personal/financial information. Rochester Police said not to provide any information, and to report any phone calls of this nature to the department.
