Learn more about the newest methods of deep-sea diving when the Mattapoisett Women's Club hosts a meeting on November 16.

The meeting will be held at the Mattapoisett Congregational Church's Reynald Hall, 27 Church Street. The club members will gather at 11  a.m. to socialize with members, followed by a luncheon.

The club's guest speaker is Bruce Strickrott from Wood's Hole Oceanographic Institute. Strickrott will present a lecture on deep-sea diving robots, entitled "Dive Deeper: Humans and Roots Exploring Together. "

He will talk about the new "Alvin", a deep diving submersible and its mission to explore the depths of the ocean. Those who are interested in attending or who need more information are asked to contact Christine Voss at 508-758-3348.
