Boy Scouts, Lions Club make holiday meals for those in need

Nov 20, 2017

Rochester Boy Scout Troop 31 again lent a helping hand to the Rochester Lions Club this year as the holidays approach.

Each year, The Rochester Lions Club runs a Holiday Meal Assistance Program. The program provides a full Thanksgiving holiday meal to local families and senior citizens in need. Boy Scout Troop 31 assists them by packing the food bags that include a turkey, fresh vegetables and all the fixings.

The food bags are also accompanied by a hand-decorated holiday message. The message are crafted by Junior Friends of the Plumb Memorial Library and elementary school students from Rochester Memorial School.
