Pine Meadow farm in Mattapoisett is hosting a holiday open house from 10-3 p.m. on Dec. 9. The farm has previously done open houses the past two Septembers, and decided to add a holiday one due to popular demand.

Participants will get the chance to see the alpacas, meet new additions to the farm and do holiday shopping. Items made with alpaca fleece, such as mittens, gloves, hats, yarn, socks and more will be available to purchase.

In addition to the alpacas, Pine Meadow is also home to rabbits, Nigerian dwarf goats, and the newly acquired Arapawa goats. Arapawa goats are the rarest goats in the world, with less than 500 in existence.
