Walking on Mars a (virtual) reality at Natural History Museum

Feb 21, 2018

Those who are not traveling over February break still have the chance to see the world.

The Marion Natural History Museum's new virtual reality set can take kids (or anyone, really) wherever they want to go. Whether they feel like climbing Mount Everest, to the bottom of the ocean, or even a spacewalk on Mars, virtual reality can take them there.

Interested children and families can visit the museum during its extended open hours (11 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday) during vacation week.

Natural History Museum members have five free visitst; otherwise, the cost is $5/15-minute visit for nonmembers.

Sign up to reserve your time by visiting the sign up sheet at the museum. There will also be a sign up sheet on the museum's door for those who cannot make it in to register during open hours.
