To the Editor:

In response to Mr. North’s letter of March 22 - This is still a free country and he is entitled to his opinion; that doesn’t mean that we have to accept it. It is an unfortunate symptom of the current state of public commentary that innuendo, half-truths, false information, and personal insults take the place of facts, logic, and common sense.

Mr. North’s letter is another in a series to confuse residents with irrelevant commentary on an important subject. The Board of Selectmen held a special public hearing on March 1 so that all residents could hear both presentations and provide their comments or ask questions.

A large number of residents attended and the consensus in the room supported renovation of the Town House. Watch the video recording on ORCTV.
