Mattapoisett's annual five-mile road race will begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, July 4.

The course begins at Shipyard Park near Mattapoisett's Town Wharf, winds through Mattapoisett Village, around Ned’s Point Lighthouse and back to Shipyard Park. Water is available throughout the race.

Proceeds from the race are awarded to college-bound Old Rochester Regional High School runners.

Register online at www.mattapoisettroadrace.com. Entry fees are $20 per runner online until midnight on June 26. The entry fee is $25 per runner if a paper entry is mailed in and postmarked by June 23. Applications can be printed from the online site.

In-person entries will be available at Shipyard Park on July 3, from 5-7 p.m. ($25 per runner) and July 4 from 7:30-8:30 a.m. ($30 per runner).

All entry fees are nonrefundable.
