Marion Planning Board reorganizes after election

Jun 5, 2018

The Planning Board is taking on a slightly new look.

The board was reorganized during Monday night's meeting, as members nominated and appointed each other to different positions following last month's election.

Newly elected member Kristen Saint-Don Campbell joined the board.

Will Saltonstall was appointed as the new chairman, replacing Eileen Marum. Saltonstall defeated Stephen Kokkins by a vote of five to two for the chairmanship.

Kokkins was re-elected as vice chairman, edging out Marum five votes to two.

Norm Hills will remain in the role of clerk and also serve as the board’s representative to the Stewards of Community Open Space.

Marum will continue on as the board’s Southeastern Regional Planning and Economic Development representative, and Chris Collings was elected as the new Community Preservation Committee representative.
