The Old Rochester Regional High School girls lacrosse team is one win away from playing in the state championship.

The Bulldogs upset third ranked Duxbury High School Friday 14-13, continuing their historic season.

ORR is now 21-1 overall in their first season after being moved up to Division I, and will play second ranked Wellesley High School for a chance to play in the state championship. The date and time of that game is to be determined.

Following ORR’s previous playoff game against Milton, Head Coach Scott Tavares said his team is playing with “a chip on our shoulder” after being ranked sixth going into the tournament.

“Our girls are really locked in right now. We’re a team on a mission,” Tavares said.
