Mattapoisett Lions Club 'Harbor Days' continues July 21-22

The 36th Annual Mattapoisett 'Harbor Days' seaside celebration fundraiser continues Saturday, July 21, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 22, in Shipyard Park.

The outdoor tented festival is the Mattapoisett Lion's Club's biggest fundraiser and supports its many local, national and international charities.

There are rows and rows of crafters, vendors, food and service purveyors, unique clothing and jewelry, art, photography, and services booths with items for sale, as well as information from local and area community groups available.

The entertainment line up is as follows:

July 21:

* 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. - Retro Roots

* 1-2 p.m. - Steps in Motion Dance Studio

* 1-2 p.m.. - Sherry O'Brien - Stiltwalker

* 2- 3 p.m. - Fire & Ice with Mad Science Guy

* 3- 4:30 p.m. - Interactive Science Table

* 5-7 p.m. - Blue Lobsta

Sunday, July 22

Live Entertainment

* 9:30 - 11 a.m. - Travis Bliss Trio

* 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. - Showstoppers

* 2 - 4 p.m. - Diamond Dust Band

Food events:

*Saturday, July 21 - There will be a "Lobsterfest Dinner" under the big white tent from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Saturday, July 21, in Shipyard Park.

*Sunday, July 22 - There will be a pancake breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m., Sunday, June 22, under the big white tent in Shipayard Park.

Special events:

* A silent auction will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, July 21, to benefit Mattapoisett Lions Club charities.Winners will be drawn at 4 p.m. Winners need not be present at time of drawing to win. Need not be present to win. Must be at least 18 years old to bid and have a valid driver's license.

Auction items include: Official New England Patriots Football Autographed by Placekicker Stephen Gostkowski, Solar & Bluetooth Rock Outdoor Speaker, Mass. Lottery Commission Gift Basket, McDonald's Gift Pack, Gift certificate combinations to retailers, Hostess Set, Tote Bag & Scarf, and much more.

* Grand Raffle

Purchase your tickets throughout Harbor Days weekend. Cost is $5  for one ticket or $10 for three tickets. There are five prizes to choose from. Prizes include: 10 Course Dream Golf Package at  Allendale Country Club in North Dartmouth, The Bay Club in Mattapoisett, Bay Pointe Club in Wareham, Heritage Hill Country Club, Marion Golf Club, New Bedford Country Club, Reservation Golf Club in Mattapoisett, Rochester Golf Club. Southers Marsh Golf Club in Plymouth, Swansea Country Club, and Whaling City Golf Club in New Bedford.

Other prizes are: A Martha's Vineyard Getaway for two at Nobnocket Inn w/roundtrip ferry (ARV $881.90), $1,000 cash, Family Fun Pack at Carousel Family Fun Center, Fairhaven ($40+), Colonial Air sightseeing in  New Bedford ($100). No more than one prize per ticket.  Taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winner.  Prizes are subject to the terms and conditions set by the party donating the prize including the time within which the gift certificates must be used.
