Officials for the Mattapoisett Lions Club "Harbor Days" annual celebration fundraiser say the day's events for this final day of the outdoor harbor-side festival have been cancelled.

"Ninty-nine percent of the crafters have closed up but our pancake breakfast is in full swing for now," a Lions club official said at 8:30 a.m. today. "If the bad weather rolls in, we will be shutting it down, too."

Thunder, lightning, and intense rain at times is predicted starting around 10 a.m. today (Sunday, July 22) and going through to nightfall, according to the National Weather Service.
