Aug 10, 2018

The Sippican Rod & Gun Club will conduct its fifth annual "Women-On-Target" gun use and training program on Saturday, Sept. 22, at the 215 Dexter Lane gun club.

The program, geared specifically to women, runs from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The morning session will teach the National Rifle Association's Home Firearm Safety Course, which qualifies participants to apply for a Massachusetts license to carry or firearms identification card.

Following a catered lunch, participants will be given practical experience by rotating through the club’s pistol range, 50- and 100-yard rifle ranges, and shotgun trap range, according to program director Bill Fredericks.

The $90 fee includes training materials, eye and ear protection which participants keep, use of the club facility, morning snacks, lunch, ammunition, and use of firearms.

Anyone interested should contact Fredericks  at 508-317-0203 or airborne1715@gmail.com.
