Mattapoisett Landing construction continues
The 28-lot “Phase One” at Mattapoisett Landing is still underway with one home already completed and two more foundations and frames recently built.
Brian Porter from developing company Brophy & Phillips approached the Planning Board Dec. 5 for an update on revisions to site plans approved in 2006. Porter said small revisions were made to the plans in August.
Mattapoisett Landing, located at 102 Fairhaven Road, will be a townhouse community for over-55 adults.
Porter said little had been changed in terms of the buildings, but that a different orientation for the driveways would be made, as well as the addition of a 600-square-foot clubhouse for meetings.
Porter also said town water hookups and septic system have been installed.
Thomas Tucker, Planning Board Chairman, said the overall size of the project was reduced around 300 square feet.
The Board acknowledged the changes taking place, and said an “as-built” approval would be required stating the construction matches the designs.
“Once the structures go up, people’s interest will be peaked,” Porter said. “And then we can get people to move in.”
