Incumbent candidate Michelle Ouellette Smith is running for another three-year term on the Marion School Committee.

Ouellette Smith is also the chairperson of the Old Rochester Regional School Committee. She did not respond to multiple requests for comment.

In a 2018 interview as a candidate for Marion Select Board, Ouellette Smith said education was a priority.

"We must continue to provide our children with high quality education with adequate funding which addresses the growing technological needs our children need to succeed in this increasingly competitive world," she said in 2018.

Ouellette Smith is a sales associate at Jack Conway, a real estate company. She previously taught at Acushnet Elementary School.

In a 2017 interview as a candidate for Marion Select Board, Ouellette Smith said she understood the need for quality education.

“As a member of the Sippican School Committee, I have experience negotiating union contracts and finding solutions for any challenges which might affect education," Ouellette Smith said in 2017.
