MATTAPOISETT — Roam the quaint Mattapoisett Village area and explore the historic wharves of Shipyard Park, all while enjoying delicious creations of local restaurants.

The Mattapoisett Woman’s Club is hosting its 20th annual “Taste of Mattapoisett” event Tuesday, July 16 from 5 to 7 p.m. under the Lions Club tent in Shipyard Park.

The event is rain-or-shine and will feature Mattapoisett’s “finest dining locations offering their delectable signature dishes,” a Mattapoisett Woman’s Club press release said.

Dishes to be available include hot chowder, shrimp, sliders, mac and cheese, pizza and more. Payment will be accepted via credit, debit or PayPal.

The Showstoppers will also be providing entertainment throughout the evening, so attendees should bring blankets, beach towels and lawn chairs.

“Come sit down with us, relax, see old friends, make new ones, and enjoy a beautiful evening,” a press release said.

Attendees can avoid parking problems by using a free shuttle service  running from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. between the parking lots at St. Anthony’s Church and the Mattapoisett Town Beach to and from Shipyard Park.
