MARION — The Marion Council on Aging book club will be reorganizing and enrolling new members at its Wednesday, Oct. 16 meeting.

The group has several openings in its 12 total spots, open to both men and women.

Those interested in joining the club should call the Marion Council on Aging at 508-748-3570.

The group meets monthly, and the book to be discussed at the October meeting is “The Secret Life of Sunflowers” by Marta Molnar.

“This historical novel tells the true story of how Vincent Van Gogh’s paintings were saved from destruction and obscurity by the determined efforts of his sister-in-law,” an announcement said.

Copies of the book are on hold at the Elizabeth Taber Library for members of the group. The activity is sponsored and organized by the Friends of the Elizabeth Taber Library.
