Diana Theresa Ohtersen

To the arms of Jesus on March 25, 2025

Preceded in sleep by Theresa E (George) Ohtersen and Alfred R Ohtersen - her beloved Mother and Father. Dennis R Crouse, former husband and Richard L Shearer, her fiancé.

Survived by her loyal and dearest sister, Candice R (Ohtersen) Isherwood and brother Alfred R Ohtersen Jr. A niece, Alexa R (Isherwood) Kendall, 2 Nephews – Joshua O. Isherwood and Benjamin J Isherwood. Blessed with 2 Great nieces, Theresa and Lila Kendall along with 3 Great Nephews – Elijah and Judah Kendall and Jackson Isherwood.

Diana was an active member of Mariners Bethel Methodist Church and established the “Clean My Sheep” program – a ministry that collects and distributes hotel sized toiletries and other personal hygiene products for those in need. Diana was also a volunteer and a helping hand for several other ministries within Mariners.

Diana’s profession consisted of 49+ years in the “Convention/Meeting Planning” field, 20 years as an employee and 20+ years self employed. Diana truly loved her profession and enjoyed the personal relationships formed along the way while travelling around the world.

Living so close to the beach allowed for sunrise/sunset walks, shell collecting and reflection. A more generous heart will be hard to find. Diana had a great sense of humor, strong compassion for others, was a true animal lover and faithful daughter/sister/auntie and friend.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for May 16, 2025 to be held at Mariners Bethel Global Church. 81 Central Ave., Ocean View DE.  Visitation will be at 10 AM, with her Service at 11 AM – lunch to follow in the Fellowship Hall.
