Apr 4, 2013

The Sippican Historical Society and the Marion Council on Aging will host the next installment of “Classic Film Fridays” on April 19 at 7 p.m. at the Marion Music Hall.

This month’s movie is “1776.” Based on the hit Broadway production of the same name, the film includes dialogue and song lyrics taken, in part, from the letters and memoirs of the actual participants of the Second Continental Congress.  Veteran stage and screen actor William Daniels stars as John Adams, the independence faction leader from Massachusetts.  The talented supporting cast includes Howard DaSilva as Benjamin Franklin, Ken Howard as Thomas Jefferson and Blythe Danner as Martha Jefferson.

The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments are available.  For more information, contact the Historical Society at 508-748-1116.
