Assistance available for paying Marion real estate taxes

The Marion Council on Aging has applications for the Marion Community Fund, a program that helps qualified homeowners pay real estate taxes. All grants will be paid to the town of Marion and credited toward the grant recipient’s tax bill. The income limit is $25,000 for one person and $37,500 for a married couple. The asset limit is $46,000 for a single person and $63,000 for a married couple, excluding home value.
