Basketball, tennis clinics with Mattapoisett Recreation

MATTAPOISETT — Mattapoisett Recreation is offering a basketball clinic with Brian Rudolph in July.

Rudolph is a former Division I Basketball player and graduate of Loyola University Maryland. He has coached the New Bedford High School Boys' Varsity team and multiple youth AAU teams. He also runs training clinics for various age groups along with assisting the UMASS Dartmouth Men's Basketball team.

The clinic is geared towards competitive level players in grades four through eight and will focus on ball handling, shooting, finishing moves, defensive techniques, conditioning and basketball IQ.

The clinic runs July 19 through 23 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Old Rochester Regional High School Gym. Visit the Mattapoisett Recreation website to register online.

Mattapoisett Recreation will also offer summer tennis lessons at the Hammond Street Courts.

Sean Nutter, Pro at the Cataumet Club and Marion Indoor Tennis Club, will be teaching a six-week clinic on Wednesdays at the Hammond Street Courts.

This program is for children 5 and up.

The clinic will run Wednesdays June 30 through August 4.

Ages 5 and 6 will play from 5 to 6 p.m. and 7-and-up will play from 6 to 7 p.m. Visit the Mattapoisett Recreation website to register online.
