The Marion Fireworks Committee is throwing a Beach Themed Gala on Saturday, March 23, at the Marion Music Hall, 164 Front Street, Marion.

From 1 to 4 p.m., enjoy family fun with a cakewalk, photo booth, ice cream, and a chance to bid on silent auction items including Red Sox tickets, gift certificates, and a flag pole worth more than $850. The students from Sippican School have donated items to create baskets with themes including Gardening, Kitchen, Sports, and Pamper Yourself.

From 7 to 11 p.m., there will be a Beach Party Cocktail Gala for the grown-ups. Tickets, available at the door, cost $25 for one or $45 for two. There will be a cash bar and refreshments provided by the students from Old Colony.

All of the proceeds will benefit the 2019 Marion Independence Day Fireworks.
