Bulletin boards revamped thanks to Marion Eagle Scout

Feb 28, 2023

MARION —Three new bulletin boards will be placed along Marion’s waterfront thanks to the craftsmanship of Eagle Scout Lee Grondin of Marion Boy Scouts Troop 32.

According to a Marion Harbormaster Department Facebook post, Grondin constructed the three bulletin boards to complete his Eagle Scout project. The largest board will be installed at Island Wharf, while the two smaller boards will be placed at Old Landing and Wings Cove.

The boards will be installed at their locations once the weather is in “better favor.”

The Harbormaster Department helped Grondin by purchasing building materials for Lee to use for the project.

According to the post, the previous bulletin boards at these locations were “old and weathered.”

“The new bulletin boards show some amazing craftsmanship and came out awesome,” wrote the Marion Harbormaster Department in the post.

The bulletin boards will be stored at Island Wharf until they can be installed.

It’s projects like these that make a small town great,” wrote the Marion Harbormaster Department in the post.
